Settings Made by your favorite creators
Each participating designer has crafted a specialty scene—from bustling city streets to quiet fantasy gardens—showcasing their products in ways that are perfect for machinima filming. You’ll also discover casual builders and community creators who have opened their homes, shops, and custom builds to serve as genre-based filming locations just for this event.
These “studios” are more than just backdrops—they’re living worlds waiting for your camera to bring them to life.
Inspire the next story.
Showcase your creativity and host a ‘studio’ for MACHINICON 2025. This September, Second Life will be alive with storytelling as MACHINICON 2025 invites residents to explore Short Stories, Big Worlds.
We’re looking for brands, builders, and creative visionaries to host pre-built ‘studios’—immersive sets where residents can film short machinima scenes, capture stunning photos, and experience your design work up close.
A filming-friendly scene can be any genre—sci-fi, fantasy, romance, noir, western, slice-of-life, surreal—anything that sparks imagination.
